Your SaaS Management Platform (SMP) is full of critical insights that seem too good to be true. Finance insight that your CFO could only dream about. Shadow IT metrics that InfoSec thinks are impossible. And app contract details for which procurement spends weeks hunting.

It’s all in your SMP—and that’s the problem.

Insights are only valuable when they’re known to the right people.

But with Torii, sharing these critical insights goes from difficult to automatic.

You can schedule reports to send useful information to decision-makers regularly—automatically.

  • Save time digging and organizing data
  • Don’t stress about remembering to send those quarterly reports
  • Make transparent communication the norm
  • Bolster your status in the eyes of leadership

Share insights with the teams that need them. Teams like Finance, Procurement, Security, Ops, and Executives all depend on the kind of data that sits idle in a SaaS Management Platform. By sharing those insights, you not only help them but also establish yourself and your team as strategic partners that are aligned with the business goals of the organization.

How It Works

We’ve made sharing reports as easy as possible.

Simply go to the page with the corresponding information:

  • For user reports, go to Users > Employees
  • For expense reports, go to Expenses. All Expenses
  • For app reports, go to Applications > Review
  • For contract or procurement reports, go to Renewals > Contracts

On every page, you will see a button on the right side prompting you to Share as report. Simply select that button, and a window will pop up. There, you can customize the report by choosing:

  • Name
  • Share method
  • Users/channels to share it with
  • Title and text of the message
  • Scheduling details such as frequency and timing

Sample Reports That You Can Build

Let’s dive into a few real-world examples of how this feature can bring value to your organization:

  • New expenses report – At the beginning of each month, send your financial department a list of expenses discovered in the past 30 days for review and approval.
  • Upcoming contract renewals – Every month, send your procurement team a list of contracts up for renewal in the next 30 days to ensure preparations are being made for negotiations for the upcoming renewal.
  • Risky apps recently discovered – Every week, send your SecOps team a list of new apps discovered that are not SOC type II  or ISO 27001 compliant to assess.
  • Periodic user access review  – Each month, send your app owners a list of users with access to the app and their licenses so that these can be reviewed and unwanted users pruned.

Why Use Scheduled Reports?

The goal of scheduled reports is to make data transparency a norm—not a surprise. By consistently providing other teams with valuable insights, you allow others to improve their work.

  • Better alignment: The natural tendency is for teams to silo and isolate—leaning on internal insights to drive decision-making. By sharing critical insights you help to break down those walls and give different teams shared points of data.
  • Smarter decisions: Every department makes decisions based on limited information. By providing useful information related to their work, you bolster their ability to make smarter choices. The compounding impact of better choices can transform an organization.
  • Modern perspective: For many organizations, legacy tooling and processes still drive most decisions. By providing an honest look at the impact of cloud applications, you provide an updated perspective on reality within the organization.
  • Establish IT as a strategic driver: If your company just thinks of IT as a service desk, scheduled reporting is a relatively easy way to build a reputation as a strategic driver in the organization.
